Last week our Lighthouse Clients attended our 90 day planning day and were able to create a yearly Marketing Calendar for their businesses. Not only did they create how they were going to market, they honed their ideal target market as well as the message they wanted to take to market, the USP or Unique Selling Proposition. Backed by a “guarantee” this makes your message powerful and takes the pain out of your potential customer’s buying decision. This could be something you are already doing that the customer does not know, like returning a phone call within a certain number of hours. This message tells your customers why they should be doing business with you, and not your competitors. It differentiates you from the competition. Why? So you are not competing solely on price.
So, what makes you unique? What about you and your business gives the customer a unique experience? Once you figure that out, that message should be taken to market by at least ten different strategies.
The second half of our day was creating quarterly profit goals that were specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely…SMART Goals.
